CXM partnered with the leading on-demand delivery platform to feature students from HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges & Universities) to be entered in a multi-level challenge to be crowned DoorDash Creator of the month. The two-day virtual event included a multi-level approach featuring top gaming and social media influencers as they teach HBCU students about content creation and providing them with the ultimate ‘Creatxr Dash’ prompt of “How would you amplify your Cxmmunity through content.”
Featuring competitive games, panels and workshops highlighting African American leaders in the esports and gaming community, this campaign connected students with leaders in the gaming industry who can inspire them to pursue a career in the esports or video game industry.
The key purpose, to create more than the opportunity to compete for prizes, scholarships, and other rewards against friends on stream. DoorDash & Cxmmunity’s shared of creating access to equitable opportunity, generating new ways for individuals to build a career pathway, and developing the pathways for local and grassroot communities to build & thrive did just that for lucky HBCU students.
